Just wanted to let you know about the wonderful time we had at your camp site and how impressed we were with the professionalism of your camp. Firstly, the way you handled the difficult situation of the rain. We were very worried when there had been so much rain and when it was still rainy during arrival and quite a lot of the time while we were there, but the rain did not impact on our week other than for us to add caution to the activities that we were doing. Things were adjusted and having been to your camp ground before, this did not reduce the “fun” of the week at all.
Secondly, I would like to congratulate you on your staff. The Archery was amazing with Michael, I think it was. He was exceptional in his delivery and his inter-personal skills with the children. By the end of each session he had not only ran a safe and well drilled practice session but had memorized all of the names of the children. In the horse-riding, the children were treated to practice drills to teach them how to ride a horse. Consequently, I believe that the children now are more experienced than a large proportion all people. The drills were so explicit, they now definitely have the knowledge of how to ride. They even had a go at trotting at the end. The canoeing was really fun in the pond instead of the dam (due to higher levels of wind and closure of the dam). The raft building was just great and the leather work and games was ran very efficiently.
Thirdly, your food staff and other helpers kept us well fed with beautiful, child friendly meals that were very successful with many fussy eaters. Everything in the dining room ran so efficiently it was a credit to them.
Finally, your amenities. Even after the deluge of rain through the week, the tents and dorms were dry and comfortable making it such an adventure for the children.
Once again thank you to you Sheryl, Paul and all of your wonderful helpers. We will definitely be back.

GRIT – GROWTH – GRACE is what we hope our students experience as they engage with learning and living at Grace Lutheran College. Imagine our excitement when we found Tunnel Ridge, a campsite that lives by the same code.
The Tunnel Ridge staff have assisted us by supporting our Year 8 Girls Camping Programme. An experience designed to offer challenge and personal growth in a community of support. The outdoor opportunities we love include, Horse Riding, Kayaking, Archery and the Swinging rope.
The staff have been helpful in catering to the needs of our camping programme and are happy to adapt activities from year to year.
Growing resilient young people is one of the key outcomes for our students and we are pleased to collaborate with Tunnel Ridge to achieve this.
Thanks Tunnel Ridge for your support.

Head of Middle School Grace Lutheran College

The Year 5 students of Suncoast Christian College thoroughly enjoyed visiting Tunnel Ridge Ranch. We have visited many times and have returned year after year because of the wonderful service, facilities, activities and location. This year the program was very well planned and the children thoroughly enjoyed canoeing, horse riding, orienteering, leatherwork and archery. The group leaders for each workshop were professional and ensured the safety and well-being of our students at all times. The venue is picturesque and the tranquil setting make it an ideal location to escape school routine and focus on team building skills and developing leadership qualities in our young people. Parents believe there was an “assortment of activities” that created “beautiful memories” and the “most wonderful learning experience”. Students thoroughly enjoyed the camp, the “wonderful variety of meals” as well as the entertaining, fun-filled program. We look forward to visiting the venue again next year.
